I came across the typewriter artist (!), Keira Rathbone, through Susie´s blog. Her art - some kind of pop art which sometimes reminds me a bit about my favourite illustrator Liselotte Watkins - has since then stuck on my mind. It's special as well as 'simple' and complicated at the same time. A bit hard to describe. However, this is how she herself describes what she does:
"One of Keira's mediums is the use of vintage typewriters to create her art. Typing out letters, numbers and symbols in place of brush strokes and pixels results in beautiful enigmatic images."
Crazy - yes! Innovatove - yes! Fantastic - yes!
What do you think?
