Lookbook favourite: Klaudia W

Still winter time and I'm really inspired by Klaudia from Poland and the way she plays around with and combine beautiful autumn colours with her great sense of style. I especially like how she manages to tone down her outfits while she still stands out from the crowd in some way. I believe that it's her enormous sense of combining various textures and lines with each other in a perfect match that does it. You should definitely check out her other great oufit on her blog!

Georgia May Jagger by Hedi Slimane for Harper’s Bazaar US November 2010

The stunning Georgia was everywhere during 2010, just like a true style icon. Here dressed by Hedi Slimane for Harper's Bazaar.

Travel kit of 2011

Year 2011 will be a great year, I can feel it. I have a lot of new plans and projects in the pipeline that I've worked really hard to achieve. One thing I know is that I will travel a lot, both in my work and private trips. I love travelling and try to prepare as much as possible before a long-haul flight to make it as comfortable as possible at the same time as I try to use the time as effectively as possible. The most important things in my cabin bag being a good moisturiser, a book, a few of magazine (preferably Vanity Fair, the UK version of Harper´s Bazaar and Tatler), my laptop and a small notebook. The outfit I travel in is also important for me though it have to be really comfortable and warm, since it mostly a bit cold up in the air. I normally go for a pair of stretch jeans from Cheap Monday and a top from Acne paired with a knitted sweater or cardigan.

This year I have upgraded my travel kit with following pieces, which are all from Gucci. The reason why I chose a bit more expensice design pieces is because I want them to last for a long time since I like my travel kit to stay with me and to remain the same throughout my journeys.

This large carry-on duffel in brown diamante leather is perfect to use as hand luggage, especially for my who want to carry a lot of things with me when I travel somewhere. It should fit my moisturizers, perfume, laptop, pens, notebook, several books and magazines, a pair of socks and a change of clothes (if the rest of your baggage ends up lost somewhere).

I found this belt when I bought the carry-on duffel (above) and just think it looks great. It's one of those belts that will fit all kinds of outfits and since I most of the time wear a really simple outfit on the flight this will add a bit of glam to the outfit without making it uncomfortable in any way.

Gorgeous fragrance that I discovered recently and bought on tax free on Doha airport last month when travelling from Hong Kong to Sweden. Keeps me feeling fresh even on a long-haul flight.

Peter Lindbergh for US Vogue

One of my all time favourite fashion photographers is the German photographer Peter Lindbergh. I especially adore his black and white photographs. However, this shoot of Natalie Portman for Vogue US 2011 January issue really caught my eyes.

Lookbook favourite: Vintage Virgin

What inspires me about Texas-based Jessica´s style is the vintage/DIY combo that I absolutely admire. On her blog Vintage Virgin she publishes a lot of übercool outfits with a lot of statement.

(All pics above are obviously from her blog and Lookbook).

Some girls play the game. They all walk and talk and they dress the same.

Lookbook favourite: Fashion She Says

I love Lookbook and all the inspirations that comes out of it. This is my monthly Lookbook-favourite, Fashion She Says from NYC. I love her way of mixing vintage pieces with young designer labels such as Miu Miu, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Anna Sui, 3.1 Phillip Lim etc. On her blog she shows a new outfit everyday. That is serious hard work!

(All pics are obviously from her blog and from Lookbook)

Wear Your Love

One of my favourite Swedish fashion journalist (based in New York), Sofia Hedström, has come up with this absolutely brilliant idea that she is blogging about in the Swedish newspaper Svd. Just like me (and I guess many other people too) she is fascinated by clothes who carries a memory. This has made her start up Wear Your Love. Together with the photographer Anna Schori she organises parties where they photograph the party participants and listens to their stories about the history behind the clothes and their declarations of love. Together with various collaborators such as Ivana Helsinki, they host Wear Your Love parties in both the US and Europe.

A fabulous idea which I wish I would have come up with myself!

Vogue's Impact List of 2010

Have you checked out Vogue´s The Impact List of 2010. Applauding Tom Ford's comeback and Lady Gaga´s unique style they are also highlighting the brilliant collaborations that took place this year. Of course Lanvin for H&M is mentioned, but accoriding to me it is Olivier Theyskens for Theory which definitely stood out. Which collaboration was your favourite this year? Sharing from Vogue.com

Why Did Carine Roitfeld Really Leave French Vogue?

Hey everyone!

Are you following the discussions right now in New York Mag regarding Carine Roitfield´s departure from French Vogue? Why Did Carine Roitfeld Really Leave French Vogue?
A lot of people would like to see Grace Coddington to fill her space at Vogue. Although I love Coddington I would actually prefer Edward Enninful to take over this place. The reason? Because I believe that Enninful, with the revolutionary "All Black Issue" for Italian Vogue as well as his fantastic stylist jobs and contributions to cutting-edge fashion and style mags such as i-D would be able to spice up the magazine and give it new life.
