The new Alexa?

Not too sure about what I think about the new Mulberry "It-bag". Although I kind of like the camel one I am still not too keen on getting one myself. I am just not too convinced that this one will make up for the amazing Alexa bag. What do you think?!?

Travel kit of 2011

Year 2011 will be a great year, I can feel it. I have a lot of new plans and projects in the pipeline that I've worked really hard to achieve. One thing I know is that I will travel a lot, both in my work and private trips. I love travelling and try to prepare as much as possible before a long-haul flight to make it as comfortable as possible at the same time as I try to use the time as effectively as possible. The most important things in my cabin bag being a good moisturiser, a book, a few of magazine (preferably Vanity Fair, the UK version of Harper´s Bazaar and Tatler), my laptop and a small notebook. The outfit I travel in is also important for me though it have to be really comfortable and warm, since it mostly a bit cold up in the air. I normally go for a pair of stretch jeans from Cheap Monday and a top from Acne paired with a knitted sweater or cardigan.

This year I have upgraded my travel kit with following pieces, which are all from Gucci. The reason why I chose a bit more expensice design pieces is because I want them to last for a long time since I like my travel kit to stay with me and to remain the same throughout my journeys.

This large carry-on duffel in brown diamante leather is perfect to use as hand luggage, especially for my who want to carry a lot of things with me when I travel somewhere. It should fit my moisturizers, perfume, laptop, pens, notebook, several books and magazines, a pair of socks and a change of clothes (if the rest of your baggage ends up lost somewhere).

I found this belt when I bought the carry-on duffel (above) and just think it looks great. It's one of those belts that will fit all kinds of outfits and since I most of the time wear a really simple outfit on the flight this will add a bit of glam to the outfit without making it uncomfortable in any way.

Gorgeous fragrance that I discovered recently and bought on tax free on Doha airport last month when travelling from Hong Kong to Sweden. Keeps me feeling fresh even on a long-haul flight.

Croc by Celine

I know I've been raving about it before, but I'll do it again. Celine´s "Luggage" bag is amazinng. Except for the fabulous black and white model I have now found this croc model that I absolutely adore. I want. I need.

Give me that bag, please

What I like most with Louis Vuitton SS 2011 collection are the bags. Like this beauty for example.

There is something about you

Debutante Asymmetric Clutch from Henri Bendel. The only question now is; blue, red or plum?

I'll take you anywhere you want to go

After I found these street style pic on Wayne Tippets (1st picture) and Vanessa Jackman (2nd picture) I'm hooked on the Celine´s "Luggage" bag. It's all I need.

Autumn city escape with the perfect overnight bag

As the plans are, I'll be spending Christmas and New Year in London. I love christmases in London and the fabulous christams decorations that spring up around town during this period. A visit at all the major department stores - even Harrods - is a tradition I won't miss this year either. For this London-trip I am bringing this saddle brown handbag from Chloé's fall collection. I especially like the warm classic colour. I got mine from Barney's NYC for $1,995.

In a Hermés mood

Still in Stockholm, I have been trying to do some shopping before I leave for London. It's really cold here right now, especially compared to lovely Hong Kong, and I have been running around the old town and the south side of the city to various vintage stores that I always visit when in town. In one vintage boutique I found and bought this lovely Mini Bearn Wallet from Hermés. I have been thinking about buying a similar one at Hermés before and was so happy to find this at a resonable price on second hand looking like new. Beautiful!

A lizard

I love Balenciaga, and Nicolas Ghesquière’s fabulously sculptured Fall/Winter 2006 collection is definitely one of my all time favourites. You do remember it, don't you?!?

However, I have never been too keen on their bags... up until now. The “worn” leather style that so many well-crafted designer bags succeed to pull off so well is something that I don’t think Balenciaga has managed too well before with their city bags. That’s why I think this new lizard embossed bag fits Balenciaga design and style better. What do you think – hit or miss?

I want!

Just can't stop thinking about this Dolce&Gabbana canvas bag since I first spotted it in Hong Kong just before I left for Europe. Just wonder if EUR 160 (USD 223) is a bit to much for a simple cotton bag. But it IS gorgeous!
Buy or don't buy?

Ageless

Throughout the years I have invested in a few pieces - clothes and accessories - which are both practical and stylish, classic and minimalist and most important of all; a piece which will age with character over the years. This handbag from English designer Margaret Howell is all of the above!

Red Statements

Choice of Red

I am delighted that my favourite colour red will adorn us all during Fall/Winter 2010. As I mentioned before, my favourite piece of clothing in red this fall is without competition Isabel Marant’s leather pants. However, these are the other pieces I would choose to add to my wardrobe.

Clockwise from left:

These übercool fingerless gloves by Vivienne Westwood would glam up any type of autumn outfit according to me. I love the details with the chain and the charm on the back.

We’ve seen variations of this Alexander McQueen clutch bags all over town a number of times, but I am still not sick and tired of it and I adore this red version.

My lips will be statement red with the help of Candyfuture Opaque Lipstick by Retrofuturist and could be combined with these rectangular sunglasses by Arnette Agent. Never mind their plastic look, it just adds a twist to the whole outfit.

I love my statement boots and therefore I cannot resist these leather patent ankle boots by Versace.

Up until now I haven’t really understood the new relieved hype around Diane von Furstenberg. However, when trying out her new Fall/Winter collection I realised that the simplicity in the dresses and the way they fall on the body is too flattering for any woman’s body to be able to resist.

Ann Demeulemeester has always been a favourite of mine and I always found something to die for in all her collections. This is a perfect dress for a night out during this autumn. Or if going for trousers instead, this one-shoulder silk blouse by Halston Heritage is just as perfect for the event.

Leopard for Fall/Winter 2010

Leopard
I really love the fact that leopard prints will stay on for another season. These are my choices from head to toe for Fall/Winter 2010 – but I would obviously not wear them all on the same time.

On a bad-hair-day I would prefer to cover up with this beautiful print bowler hat by Anthony Peto, which you can find at Browns.

Moving on I would dress for cold weather in this leopard print cropped coat by Love Moschino.

Around my neck, I would not say no to this silk leopard print scarf by Yves Saint Laurent.

Jimmy Choo Bree Large calf hair bag doesn’t look that good on this particular photo, but looks absolutely fab IRL. I would definitely combine this with Jimmy Choo Ubai leopard-print leather wallet.

During daytime I would cover up my feet in Giuseppe Zanotti printed leopard low boot wedges and at night time when going out with the girls I would change into these leopard-print platform bootie by Miu Miu.

Darla by Chloé

I am totally hooked on the new bags from Chloé. Especially this Darla leather tote which will look great to any autumn work outfit.
