Is this the perfect match or what? Normally I am not too interested in the celebrity-fashion-mix, but this time it is different. The beautiful Gossip Girl-actress Blake Lively has been chosen by Karl Lagerfeld to represent the new “Mademoiselle” line of handbags for Chanel. I think her look, which is fresh, natural and (of course) youthful matches the traditional image of Chanel perfectly. However, next time I hope that Karl will pick me!

Karl Lagerfeld talks to Suzy Menkes about Chanel

“The problem was Chanel was, when I took over, everyone said don’t touch it - it’s a sleeping beauty. In a way it was - still beautiful but sleeping - because people had tried to redo it with respect. If you want to revive anything you shouldn’t do it with respect because that is the final death. I have so many favourites among Chanel's Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear collection I don't know where to start. Time to save up some cash ;-)

Claudia + Chanel

I think its a good move by classic and timeless Chanel to use classic and timeless models such as the beautiful German former top model Claudia Schiffer for the latest campaign. Karl Lagerfeld has used the face of Claudia for Chanel before, most recently in last year’s cruise collection. This campaign is shot in Buenos Aires.
