The body is at the centre

Still in Stockholm! Today the exhibition "Except when it´s not" opens up in my friend´s - Maria Forsséns - gallery So Stockholm. The focus is on conceptual fashion, which would be something other than just consumption. Another example of fashion and its constant hunt for seriousness. One of the exhibitors is Elina Stålhandske who makes amazing knit constructions and on her website she describes her work as follows: "A garment can be seen as a sculpture, something wearable or a garment concept. I want to interact with the wearer. The garments can define your body, build it up and expand it. It is up to you what you want to express. The body is at the centre."
