Stylist Flash: Edward Enninful

I ♥ Edward Enninful, the London-based stylist and fashion director which kick-started his career at the tender age of 18 (!) as the youngest ever fashion editor of i-D. Throughout his career he has collaborated with a range of acclaimed fashion photographers including Steven Miesel, Paolo Roversi, Craig McDean, Steven Klein and Philip Lorca Di Corcia. Today Edward contributes to numerous international fashion magazines and is Contributing Fashion Editor of Italian Vogue, Fashion Editor at Large of Japanese Vogue and Fashion Editor at Large of i-D. He has done a hugenumber of campaigns for the likes of Commes des Garcons, Jil Sander, Armani, Calvin Klein, Fendi, Gap, Levis, Hugo Boss, Missoni, Lancôme and H&M.

Enninful is now considered one of the top stylists in the world and is always in-demand. He divides his time between London and New York. One of his greatest work up to date is,according to me, the smash-hit success of Italian Vogue’s ’All Black’ issue, which sold out everywhere and then had to be re-printed. Many people in the fashion industry today claim that this cover has changed the industry forever.
