Dreams or Reality

I found this in an old issue of the Austrian Diva magazine from April/May this year. The photographer Cathrin Jo Ann Wind has produced an unusual fashion editorial inspired by the American painter Edward Hopper, who in the 1950s captured the solitude of the contemporary individual in sensitive pictures.

To capture the feel of the paintings, Cathrin commissioned miniature models, which she then photographed using meticulous lighting. An incredibly elaborate post-production completed the look: resulting in an editorial filled with light and shadow play, between reality and dream.
